Find the Right Electric Scooter by Speed, Motor, Range and Weight

Everything You Need To Choose The Right Scooter

Amazon will not let you sort electric scooters by top speed, motor watts, range, weight or rider limit. We pull those numbers out of every listing so you can. Prices and Amazon ratings are re-checked every night, and every listing shows the date it was last checked. We do not sell or ship anything; the buy links go to Amazon.

Checkout our video on how and why we created this site. This process helped us pick the right scooters for ourselves and our family and can help you do the same.

Every scooter we list is a live Amazon listing. We read the top speed, motor watts, range, weight and rider limit out of each one and build filter pages around them, because Amazon does not let you sort on any of that. Prices and Amazon ratings are re-checked every night and each listing carries the date it was last checked. We do not sell, ship or repair scooters. Buy links go to Amazon, and we earn a commission on qualifying purchases at no extra cost to you.

Our Current Pick

We have been asked about what Scooter we ended up with

This is the one we ended up buying, and the reasons it won out over the rest of the shortlist.

Relatively Fast

With a top speed of 40 MPH (at my 180 lb it does 41 easily), this was about the speed I was looking for, and the range is 50 to 60 miles. Cost per MPH and cost per mile were the two numbers I compared across the shortlist, and this one came out well on both.

Bought On A Discount

I was willing to wait for a sale to see if any of my top choices dropped. This one was at the bottom of the list because I wanted something a little faster, but the discount was too good to pass on.

Lightweight

Weight is important as sometimes I have to carry the scooter up or down stairs, and place into vehicles. One thing that is really unfun with this though is that the handlebars do not lock in place. So carrying it really sucks, even picking it up and rolling it, which should be good, is bad because the handlebars do not lock into place. A good strap should fix this.

Runner Ups

My metrics were simple. I want the fastest scooter I can get, for under $1500, that is relatively lightweight and looks OK. I was not a fan of the dual forks, but would have accepted it. All of these would have been overall good deals for what you get.
