How the catalog is built, where the numbers come from, and what happens when you click through to Amazon.
No. ScootaZon is a catalog, not a store. Every scooter here links out to its Amazon listing, and Amazon and the seller handle the payment, shipping, warranty, and returns. We never take an order and we do not hold inventory.
The specs are read from each Amazon listing and recorded in the same set of fields for every product: motor watts, top speed, range, scooter weight, max rider weight, and price. Prices and Amazon star ratings are re-checked automatically, and each listing shows an “as of” time so you can see how fresh the number is. Amazon prices move, so confirm the price on Amazon before you buy.
Amazon will not let you filter scooters by top speed, motor wattage, range, or weight. ScootaZon stores those values as structured fields, so you can set a range on any of them and the catalog narrows to the scooters that match. Combine as many as you want to get from hundreds of listings down to the handful worth looking at.
A listing leaves the catalog when Amazon stops selling it or the product page goes away, and it comes back on its own if the listing returns. We also hold back listings where we cannot read enough of the specs to place the scooter correctly, because a half filled record turns up in the wrong searches. If you think something is wrong, tell us with the form above.
Yes. ScootaZon is a participant in the Amazon Associates Program and earns from qualifying purchases. If you buy through one of our links, Amazon pays us a commission and you pay exactly what you would have paid anyway. It does not change which scooters we list or where they land in the filters.
